I’m finally rewatching the Tennant/Tate version of Much Ado, and I realized….

The radio silence…. was THE INTERMISSION.

I know the intermission isn’t universal, but it is generally somewhere around that point, and in the Tennant/Tate one specifically it cuts right after the watch has gotten the incriminating evidence about what really went down, and when we know Claudio and Pedro have seen “Hero” and are planning on publicly denouncing her at the wedding the next day, but before that showdown actually happens.

Like, literally, that is exactly when NMTD went into radio silence, and it made sense, it made complete sense plot-wise, but ALSO IT WAS ACTUALLY THE INTERMISSION OF THE PLAY
